As the heatwave sears up and takes over the country, music is seemingly the only respite for the millennials across metropolitan cities. This weekend there is a good mix between banging drum and bass, deep melancholic house and tribal techno, industrial techno — and also a bunch of Star Wars themed parties on May 4. Here’s your fix to beat the heat.

May the 4th with Tuhin Mehta and Vridian

Tuhin Mehta isn’t just the king of tribal techno in India, he’s also perhaps the biggest Star Wars nerd amongst all DJs in the country. So it is appropriate that warpcore celebrates May 4th with him manning the decks at Delhi’s hotbed, Auro. This time around the Uber talented Vridian is going to do a B2B with the unknown and elusive SKNOB. The super talented Last Local will be playing his first warpcore gig too opening proceedings for the evening. This is a full Star Wars themed techno party with the decor reflecting the interiors of the Death Star from the Return of the Jedi.

Arjun Vagale and Kohra at Danza

A line up that features perhaps India’s two biggest techno superstars cannot be ignored. Arjun Vagale is India’s biggest export to the international techno scene and he’s playing his first DJ set in his home city this year at Danza where he’s supported by a star-studded lineup featuring the hypnotic Kohra, DotDat, Future Culture and even hip hop sensation Su Real. May the 4th will be a techno raver at Satvik farms and it is expected to go on till the wee hours of the morning.

Guy Mantzur

Israeli progressive house master Guy Mantzur returns to India this weekend bringing his brand of dreamy house melodies and grooves to audiences in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, playing at Lalit group’s framed Kitty Su and Kitty Ko clubs. People who’re interested in more melodic vibes will enjoy his music a lot. In Delhi, the über talented Amish is opening for him this Friday.

Sebastien Leger

French electronic music is legend Sebastien Leger is been changing the face of dance music for the last 20 years encompassing different genres of house and techno music. This weekend he lands in India first playing at Delhi’s Summer house Cafe, Block 22 in Hyderabad and Brassiere in Bangalore on Sunday.

Coki

This week they celebrate their 10th anniversary with two unique gigs featuring dubstep producer Coki hailing from London at Delhi’s Summer House Cafe on Wednesday supported by local act Stain and on Friday at Mumbai’s Khar Social featuring Krunk founder EZ Riser in a b2b with BigFat.
